As the youngest of 6 food enthusiast siblings, Bjorn is set to continue to carry the family’s legacy torch for Bicol and Filipino cooking. Just like his older brother Mark, and sister Cathy, Bjorn is gifted with this talent in a quick instinct to serve delicious Bicol and Filipino food for everyone to enjoy. And because he has shown such appeal to the hungry stomach, he deserves to be a part of the big family of cooks in this close knit group. “My roots lie in Ligao, a place where I grew up and watched transition from a cozy hometown to a bustling urban center. This small, vibrant corner of the world is a place where everyone’s familiar with one another. It’s a close-knit community that cultivates positivity, encourages strong relationships, and fosters lifelong friendships. Among my fondest memories are those of growing up with my childhood friends, our time filled with shared laughter and camaraderie. Skateboarding became our shared passion during those formative years. Whether after school or on weekends, we’d convene at the town plaza, each of us eager to display our latest tricks and techniques on the skateboard. As we grew and learned, so did our friendship, with every shared moment on the board.
Reminiscing about my humble beginnings, I fondly remember growing up as the youngest amongst my six siblings in the modest barangay of Cavassi. This close-knit setting nurtured a deep bond between us siblings, a bond that continues to thrive to this day. A significant part of our shared history is our shared love for cooking, a skill lovingly passed down from our parents. This culinary passion, particularly for Filipino cuisine, has been a part of our lives since my earliest memories and is something I continue to cherish.
Post high-school, I pursued a degree in computer science at Infotech Development Systems Colleges, hopeful that it would pave the way to a prosperous professional future. While I am committed to my career goals, I also enjoy the leisurely pleasures of life. Watching YouTube videos, indulging in movies, and occasionally dedicating quality time in the kitchen to whip up beloved Filipino dishes are some of my favorite pastimes. As I continue to move forward, these memories, values, and skills from my childhood continue to shape who I am, both in my personal and professional life!”
