Cathy’s cooking style focuses on a balance of meat and veggies, emphasizing the importance of dietary fiber and protein. She also has a love for sweets, and this shines through in her dishes, whether it’s her delicious Sinigang, Tinola, Lumpia, or sautéed recipes. Cathy always makes sure to include plenty of greens, ensuring that her dishes are abundant and healthy.

Growing up in a small town in Bicol, Cathy learned the tradition of raising farm animals and growing vegetables in the backyard, an experience that greatly informs her cooking style today.

I currently live in beautiful Colorado, married to Rich for over 16 years! We have a family of two children… my stepson, Richey and my lovely daughter, Cassandra Alexie.

I was born in Ligao, Philippines, a city based in the eastern part of Albay, province of Bicol. It’s a small town I grew up in, where most families have lived for generations… a place where everybody knows everybody. I’m the oldest of 6 siblings, whom I love and adore so dearly. Those fun memories growing up makes me feel like a Ligaoenia through and through.
