Ice Candy as we call it, is a coconut popsicle that’s traditionally a Filipino frozen dessert made with coconut milk, condensed milk, young coconut strips and coconut water. Mixture is poured into slender plastic bags and frozen until they’re ready to enjoy. We don’t just use young coconut strips, although it’s where this frozen dessert is originally produced from.

We use many kinds of Philippine fruits to create ice candy or coconut popsicles. There are those with mango flavor, avocado, ube and many more. Try this Avocado Popsicle that Missy made. Though, they’re not formed in small slender bags like a normal ice candy is, she made this tasty Avocado Popsicle with a twist! What’s the twist? This delicious ice candy is not made for kids! tongue-out cool

Ingredients: 4-6 servings

2 medium ripe avocados
1 1/2 cups coconut milk
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1 medium ripe banana
1 tbsp. agave

Instruction:

  1. Simply combine all ingredients in a blender or food processer until smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour mixture into ice pop molds, and set in freezer overnight. Serve Avocado Popsicle as a yummy dessert after a delicious lunch meal!
