Easy to make, yet flavorful to taste! Millie just created another winner with her homemade Sweet & Sour Meat Balls recipe. Using ground pork to create her own meatballs, her homemade Sweet & Sour Pork is chunky and rich in flavor. What an appetizing meal to serve for lunch or dinner!

Ingredients: 3-4 servings

1 lb. ground pork
1 green bell pepper cut in cubes
1 red bell pepper cut in cubes
1 can 8 oz. pineapple chunks
1 can 8 0z tomato sauce
1/4 cup all purpose flour
3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 medium diced onion
1 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. white sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 whole eggs
2 cups water
salt & pepper

Cooking Procedure:

  1. On a large bowl, mix together ground pork, salt, pepper and flour. Beat the eggs and it to the mix. Blend ingredients thoroughly then start forming golf-ball sized meatballs, then set aside.
  2. Heat oil on a pan, sauté onions, garlic and spray some black peppers. Add and sauté meatballs with  ingredients, then apply the tomato sauce. Set the heat to medium and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. On a separate bowl, create a marinade by mixing water with the juice from the pineapple chunks. Add sugar, vinegar and cornstarch. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Pour marinade onto the meatballs, add some soy sauce, followed by the pineapple chunks, and the green and red bell peppers. Stir ingredients and leave it to simmer for 8-10 minutes or until sauce has thickened and meatballs are fully cooked.
  5. Turn off heat. Transfer Sweet & Sour Meatballs on a large bowl. Serve with steamed rice.

Tip: Some add sliced hot dogs to your homemade Sweet & Sour meatballs mixture. A great choice.
