12 pieces medium to large cleaned fresh mussels
1 cup mayonnaise
1tbsp garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste
2 tbsp. roasted garlic(optional)
- Preheat oven at 375F. Wash fresh mussels thoroughly, place them on a bowl and set them aside to prepare for the stuffing.
- For the stuffing, add garlic powder, salt and pepper to the mayo and stir thoroughly to even up ingredients. Apply the filling onto the mussels evenly.
- Organize them on a baking sheet, then place the sheet on middle rack of the oven. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes. Check to determine if mussels are fully cooked, otherwise, add at least another 5 minutes, to ensure mussels are completely baked.
- Turn off oven, take out the yummy garlic roasted, Baked Stuffed Mussels out, cool them off, and enjoy the goodies!
Tip: To ensure the mussels are rightly baked, the mayonnaise stuffing should appear melted and flowed off from its surface down to its shell. Mussel shells should be wide open, and meat will appear pinkish-orange in color.
