In the Philippines, adding salted black beans, also known as Tausi, to a dish is a common practice. While Filipinos typically use Tausi with fish, such as Bangus (milkfish), Mahi-Mahi, and Tilapia, they also use it with meat, as seen in Ludwig’s Spicy Pork Tausi recipe. This dish is essentially a Spicy Pork with black beans (Tausi), similar to Bicol Express but without the use of coconut milk.

To make the dish, pork is first sautéed with garlic, onions, and chili peppers until it is browned. The salted black beans and other seasonings are then added to the pan, along with a small amount of water. The mixture is then simmered until the pork is tender and the sauce has thickened. The resulting dish is a delicious and flavorful Spicy Pork Tausi that is perfect for any occasion.

Ludwig’s Spicy Pork Tausi recipe showcases how the addition of salted black beans can enhance the flavor of a dish. The saltiness of the Tausi provides a perfect balance to the spiciness of the pork, resulting in a flavorful and satisfying meal. While this recipe is similar to Bicol Express, the absence of coconut milk and the addition of Tausi give it a unique twist that sets it apart from other Filipino dishes.

Spicy Pork Tausi is a dish that is perfect for those who love a little kick in their meals. The addition of Tausi elevates the dish to another level, making it a must-try for anyone looking to explore the diverse and flavorful cuisine of the Philippines.
