Ingredients: 3-4 servings
2 slabs of baby back ribs
1 tbsp. meat tenderizer
1 tsp dried oregano leaves
1 tsp dried basil leaves
3 cloves, chopped garlic(optional garlic powder)
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 whole large lemon juice
1 tsp crushed, black peppers
A pinch of salt to taste
1 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tbsp. ketchup
Instructions:
- Clean and thoroughly rub 2 slabs of baby back ribs with meat tenderizer and a pinch of salt. Mix all other ingredients to create a marinade.
- Apply the marinade onto the baby back ribs. Rub into the ribs thoroughly to completely marinate. Leave it in the fridge and let it marinate for about 4 hours.
- Heat oven at 350F. Place the marinated baby back ribs, on a foil-covered baking sheet. Save the leftover marinade to be used as bbq sauce.
- When heat reaches its desired temperature, place the baby back ribs on the middle rack and bake for 30 minutes. Baby back ribs will appear, juicy golden brown when baked.
- While ribs are roasting or baking, create a bbq sauce using the leftover marinade sauce by adding 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch, 1/4 cup water and a tablespoon of ketchup. Wisk to combine sauce ingredients. Boil sauce while constantly stirring, till it thickens. Set aside.
- When baby back ribs are fully roasted, switch oven setup to broil mode, over a low heat. Place baby back ribs on the top rack and let it broil until ribs edges are slightly burned and meat is tender.
- Remove from heat immediately. Rub tender and juicy, Broiled Baby Back Ribs with your made-from-scratch bbq sauce. Coat evenly, then serve it hot!
Tip: Try it without the bbq sauce. Instead, garnish it with sliced onions and tomatoes, then eat Broiled Baby Back Ribs with steamed rice. Then, how about a cold treat of Missy’s Frozen strawberry Limeade on the side? Wallah!
