Stir-fried shrimps is probably one of the quickest form of shrimp recipes you can do, to serve your family without missing the appetizing part of eating lunch or dinner meal. Ingredients: 3-4 servings
2 lbs. large shrimps, unshelled but deveined
3 cloves of chopped garlic
3 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp garlic powder(optional)
salt & pepper to taste
2 tbsp. water
Cooking Procedure:
- First wash and devein fresh shrimps, remove antennas but do not remove their heads and shells. Set aside.
- On a deep frying pan, heat oil over a medium-high heat, start frying garlic until browned, then add shrimps. Stir to combine.
- Apply salt and pepper to season shrimps. Continue to stir, add water to allow the shrimps to boil and cook. Apply a teaspoon of garlic powder, if desired.
- Keep stirring for 3-5 minutes until shrimps are cooked, garlics are toasted and water is almost drained. Shrimps appear pinkish-orange in color when cooked.
- Remove from heat, transfer stir-fried shrimps on a serving plate. Apply spicy vinegar with small amount of fish sauce to use as dip, then serve this quick and easy, seafood shrimp recipe with steamed rice.
Tip: When stir-frying shrimps, try using olive oil with a teaspoon of butter, instead of cooking oil.
