Simply Lemon Baked Cod! It’s another winner for a quick and easy meal preparation, and yet, another great idea to serve when things get hectic while wondering what to serve your beloved for lunch or dinner.
Millie’s Lemon Baked Cod recipe is seasoned with melted butter, lemon juice, finely chopped garlic, salt, crushed black pepper, a sprinkle of paprika to add some color, then topped it with sliced onions and chopped cilantro, prior to baking.
Ingredients: 2-3 servings
1 whole filleted cod fish, slice in 4 pieces
1/4 cup softened or melted butter
1 lemon, sliced
3 cloves thinly chopped garlic
1/2 sliced white onions
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 tsp paprika
salt & pepper to taste
Cooking Procedure:
- Pre-heat oven to 350F. Cut fillet cod fish in 4 slices, apply softened butter on each slice, season with garlic, add salt and pepper to the mix. Squeeze lemon on top.
- Place cod fish on a foil-covered baking sheet, apply some paprika and garnish with chopped cliantro and slice onions. Cover cod fish fillet with aluminum foil. Place it on the middle rack of the oven.
- Bake cod fish for about 30-35 minutes. Remove from heat when done. Serve it with baked potatoes and steamed green beans.
Tip: This Lemon Baked Cod Fish can be served with steamed rice, if desired.
