You have a choice as to what type of poultry meat to use. Turkey, chicken or Cornish hen any of them will do. For this Slow-Cooked Poultry Recipe, Millie used turkey, since it’s her husband’s choice. For those Pinoy enthusiasts out there; you have a choice between chicken and natural hen. Check how it’s done and enjoy!
Ingredients: 4-5 servings
3 large turkey legs (whole Cornish chicken or chicken as an option)
3 medium size carrots cut in cubes
3 medium size yellow potatoes
3 medium size purple potatoes
3 medium size red potatoes
7 pieces Brussel sprouts cut in halves
1 medium size onion cut in cubes
1 large can cream of mushroom or chicken
salt & pepper
- Wash and chop all ingredients, throw the turkey or chicken first in the slow cooker, then add all the vegetables on top.
- Pour a can of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken(your choice), then follow up with half a can of water. You can use the emptied can for the water to empty out remaining sauce. Pour water into the ingredients.
- Set the slow cooker temp to 250F, leave it to cook. Come back in 2 hours, then have a great lunch or dinner!
Tip: Try this slow-cooked poultry recipe with chicken or Cornish hen. It will be just as good.
